Beautiful wooden rafters, high ceilings, and excellent acoustics. Our concert hall is home to classical music experiences as well as weddings and conferences. Sound, lighting, and atmosphere create the perfect setting for your event.

The History


In the heart of Islands Brygge, Mogens Dahl found a home for his dreams in 2004. Together with the two architects Frank Maali and Gemma Lalanda, he renovated the breathtaking buildings from 1901, which once housed both horses and Jaguars. Since then, the Concert Hall has been a bourse and cathedral, where music, art, businesses, and life's major events have unfolded in intimate and inspiring surroundings.


The old building, constructed in 1901, originally served as a stable with an attendant's residence for Hertz Bogtrykkeri, where design company VIPP now has its headquarters. In the current concert hall, the horses were stabled, while the carriages were parked in what is now the foyer.

The old horse stable at Islands Brygge has been transformed into a world-class concert hall. Whether hosting international star musicians, Denmark's largest companies, or wedding parties, this space invites intimacy, immersion, and joy.

Mogens Dahl Concert Hall is a cultural powerhouse with music and art at its core. Therefore, the acoustics in the halls are superb, fostering both conversation and musical experiences. The main hall is the heart of our cultural center, designed to bring music and people together.

LILLE SAL - THE PERFECT COMPANION

When you rent the Concert Hall, you also have access to our beautiful foyer and the Small Hall (Lille Sal). The Small Hall is the perfect companion to the Concert Hall. It's our smallest hall, yet the acoustics are exceptional. The space provides a great setting for breaks during events in the Concert Hall and can also be used for separate events or concerts.
